Subject: wow!

i have never written a comment before and have never heard of this guy but due to the controversial reviews had to check him out. i can totally see this guy making it big and winning a grammy because they usually give it to the biggest choad of the year.

...now I don't want to go startin' no feudin' but I'm in agreement with the minority vote on this one. Listened because this show was one of the "most downloaded" and I was curious. I'm still curious. Only average sound (2 of 5 at most-a little hollow) and a barely average band with a mostly popish sound. Yeah he's got a pretty good voice but does seem more a teeny-bopper pleaser than a mature artist. In fact I find it a little more than ironic that the opening number is titled "Overrated".

Subject: amazing

Gavin Degraw is the most amazing arist ive ever heard, not only that but hes really down to earth and goodlooking. This is a really good recording, and sing-along? No gavin just likes to connect with his fans, and does a really good job of it. You should definatly try listening to his released song's, beacause he CAN hit the high notes, and even if he doesnt , it still sounds good. Gavin's imperfections make him perfect =)

Subject: Good show

Gavin was on fire. The recording is not all the way, but Gavin was amazing. He does a great job, the covers are amazing. I don't really listen to his songs, they're a bit too popish for my taste, but his voice is amazing, so that's why I listen to his covers.

Subject: Live at Bogarts

Great show.
A little problem with sound in the beginning and feedback during the Chemical Party mix.
But all in all, one of the best recordings and a great set list that includes cover songs of Leonard Choen to Marvin Gaye and Sam Cooke!
Gavin DeGraw always does such a great job on all the covers and originals, he really is the best live performers as of right now. He uses absolutely no backing tracks or anything along those lines, and still has one of the strongest vocals out there!
The lyrics are well written and you can literally feel the passion of the music through his performance. So overall I rate it 5 stars.

this might be the worst thing i have ever downloaded, this guy and his music is for high school kids who havent found good music yet. do not download this if your into anything HEADY, bc you wont find anything of the sort here.

Subject: An honest artist

Surely he's not perfect, and this certainly isn't the greatest of recording jobs, BUT, this only showcases a portion of Mr. DeGraw's talent and charisma. I had a slight mishap with a few of the downloads being mislabled, but that is not his fault. :) I'm glad to see a place like this exists.

hey i'm a dude (not gay) and i think gavin is kickass, when i saw him he hit every high note he tried at, maybe you need to listen to some of his released cd first, but this is a really good recording of his show, a lot like what i heard.

C'mon, he must be cute, or have an x-tra large package, because the music is mediocre at best, and the sound on this leaves MUCH to be desired. Lots of sceaming girls, sing along style. I just don't get it...the guy can't hit the high notes he tries to reach each song...the musicians behind him...nuttin' special...clue me in. When did i ever suggest that any part of the recording...or performance would make one gay? My obsevation came from the screaming , and sing along with the women in the audience, which i myself...found quite annoying. If my comments in the future helps someone to find his/her sexuality being an isssue, and/or one finding themselve(s), finally...then just think of all the money i saved you in psychiatrist costs.

Subject: Gavin just has FUN!!

During the whole show I felt like I was watching one of my friends just have fun on stage. He smiled the whole time, actually played with a stuffed lion, and TOOK REQUESTS. I mean lets be honest, the best job in the world, if you are reading these reviews, is being a musician and Gavin "followed through" with a performance of fun!!! Just as stated above, WE ALL do need some Sexual Healing and Gavin gave us just that.

Gavin was in a great mood the whole show and played some good covers. It was the first time Ive seen him live, and would like to check him out again. The recording is great, and I think so of performances are great for him. Definately check it out.

Subject: DeGraw is Grammy bound

This was my first show, and I had to drag my fiance to it, but by the end we couldn't believe our ears. His voice is one of the best I've ever heard. There were maybe 500 people at Bogarts on this Sunday night, but it didn't dappen his spirits at all and he signed autographs for every person who wanted one afterwards. This recording is unbelieveable and you can clearly hear his vocal range. Hats off to the taper, who also took some professional grade photos too! All in all, a great night and this is a great representation of it!
